I am a freelance writer. I've covered the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and others since 1992.
I have a background in sales as well. I've sold consumer electronics, advertising and consumer package goods for companies ranging from the now defunct Circuit City to Procter&Gamble.
I have worked as a stats operator for Xavier University, the University of Cincinnati, the College of Mount St. Joe and Colerain High School.
Drew Stubbs felt some discomfort and was removed from the Reds' game Tuesday night. He was replaced by Wilson Valdez, who was the last player on the bench beside catcher, Ryan Hanigan.
"I felt something under my left ribs and back," Stubbs said. "It happened on the next to last pitch in my last at bat. It was the one I fouled off."
Stubbs struck out on the next pitch in that seventh inning.
"We will see how it feels tomorrow," Stubbs said.
Dusty Baker said, "There is possibly something wrong. We will have him examined and let you know tomorrow."
