Reds Director of Media Relations Finishes Flying Pig Marathon

While Cincinnati Reds players were in Arizona getting in shape for the 2011 season, Rob Butcher had already put in 15 miles.  Butcher was also seen running up Krause's hill an 8% incline built at the facility in Goodyear, Arizona to keep the Reds legs strong.

Butcher ran the Flying Pig Marathon this morning and finished 205 out of over 5,000 runners with a time of 3:25:38..  The 48-year old is a member of the Clinton County Sports Hall of Fame.

He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1985 and earned a masters degree in sports management from The Ohio State University in 1989.

Butcher worked for the Columbus Clippers and the New York Yankees prior to being named to his current position in 1997.
