The Reds traded for Miguel Andujar sending RHP Kenya Huggins, the Reds fourth pick in the 2022 draft to Oakland.

Andujar, 30, has a .298/.329/.436 slash line in 60 games this season, with six home runs, 10 doubles and 27 RBIs. He has played nine Major League seasons for the Yankees, Pirates and A's, he is a career .277 hitter with a .743 OPS.

His best year was his rookie season in 2018 with the Yankees in which he hit .297 with 42 doubles, two triples and 92 RBI in 149 games. He was second to Shohei Ohtani for Rookie of the Year. 

"We feel we improved our pitching, defense and offense with these three guys Ke'Bryan Hayes, Zack Little and Andujar." Reds president of baseball operations, Nick Krall said. "Andujar is one of the best in baseball at hitting left handed pitching.".

Andujar's career numbers against left handed pitchers are .291/.330/.464 with 15 home runs in 446 at bats. His numbers against right handed pitchers are .271/.301/.422 with 34 home runs in 1,133 at bats.
