Rachael Adams Daughter Of Former Colerain Star Wins Medal In Rio

A Colerain heritage is part of the makeup of USA Volleyball star, Rachael Adams scored 15 points, five blocks and two aces.in the Bronze medal match win over the Netherlands.

Her father Richard was a standout  basketball player for the Colerain Cardinals from 1972-74.  Richard and Robin Adams' daughter played Volleyball at Mount Notre Dame.

She got a scholarship to play the sport at the University of Texas, majoring in advertising.

Richard was in Rio de Janeiro to watch his daughter.  After he starred for Colerain, Adams played basketball at the University of Illinois.

We was drafted by  the San Antonio Spurs in 1978 but didn't play in the NBA.
