Reds Shore Up Roster Add A Pitcher. Donovan Solano And Jose Barrero Coming Soon

The Reds recalled Dauri Moreta from Triple A Louisville and optioned TJ Friedl to the Kentucky metropolis.

"We're making sure we have what's best for our team," David Bell said.  "Moreta has been pitching well.  TJ has played really well.  There's not many starts right now.  What's happened over the last few days (getting India and Max Schrock back) he wouldn't be getting a lot of playing time.  He can go back to Louisville and play, so he's ready for his next opportunity."

"There is a good shot that Solano will be back by Tuesday," Bell said.

Nick Lodolo threw49 pitches against Durham last night.  He pitched two innings, allowing two runs on four hits.  He struck out six.

The Reds placed Alexis Diaz on the 15-day disabled list with right biceps tendinitis.

Jose Barrero, who missed spring training entirely with a broken left wrist, is playing daily in Louisville.

"I talked to PK the other day," Bell said. "He told me that Jose was playing a really good shortstop. He will be up here sometime this season."

Barrero is hittning .215 with five home runs and nine RBI in 24 games.
