It was like a drunken night for pitchers as they were continually hit by haymakers from the moment the National Anthem's last note faded into the mountains. The Reds hit five doubles and three home runs to KO the Milwaukee Brewers, 11-5.
Brewers starter, Josh Tomlin, who was nicknamed "the Cowboy" in Cleveland, was ambushed in the first inning.

"It was a good days offensively for the guys who started the game," David Bell said. "Phil Ervin continues to swing the bat well. That's great,"

Lucas Sims, the Reds' starter was half as bad. He surrendered doubles to Eric Thames (yes Virginia they kept him in the park.) and Keston Hiura. National League MVP Christian Yellich and Manny Pina hit back-to-back home runs to cut the lead in half.
Sal Romano followed Sims and gave up two runs in two innings. Yellich hit a two-out double in the third to score Cory Spangenberg. Hernan Perez homered off Romano in the fourth inning.
The Reds scored three runs against Junior Guerra. Jesse Winker singled for his second hit. Nick Senzel was credited with a double when Spangenberg lost Senzel's fly ball down the left field line. One out later, Phil Ervin, belted his third home run of the spring.
Vladimir Gutierrez pitched two scoreless innings. Wandy Peralta pitched a scoreless inning. Brandon Finnegan pitched a scoreless inning and minor league left-hander Juan Martinez breezed through the ninth inning.
"Our pitching for the most part, especially at the end were really attacking the zone as well," Bell said.
