Anthony DeSclafani's Start Delayed

Anthony DeSclafani will not start the game on Sunday as planned, manager Bryan Price announced Friday afternoon.

"Anthony hasn't yet been green lighted," Price said.  "He came through his simulated game o.k., it's just that with every thing he's gone through, we're just not ready.  The oblique is one of those that can linger.  We're so close that if he's not 100 percent, we're not going to take the chance.  There's been no setback or anything. He's done all the MRI, the healing.  Our medical staff doesn't feel he's 100 percent."

DeSclafani will throw a bullpen Wednesday in Chicago and play catch on Monday.

"We're going to take a step back and come back full force," Price said.

The Reds will name Sunday's starter after the Friday game with the Pirates.
