Reds' Pitchers Near Strikeout Record For Pizza Sake

The Reds' pitching staff is a mere 64 strikeouts from setting a team record coming into the game against the Cubs Tuesday night.

Cincinnati pitchers have fanned 1,148 batters this season. In 32 games the Reds have struck out 11 or more batters.  It has happened 22 times at Great American Ball Park.

LaRosa's Pizzeria have a promotion that allows ticket holders to exchange their ticket stubs for a free pizza whenever Reds' pitchers strike out 11 batters or more.

Steve Watkin of the Business Courier spoke to the chain's director of marketing, Pete Buscani about the promotion.
