Minor Matters Oak Hills Joel Bender is Assigned to Dayton

Former Oak Hills lefthanded pitcher, Joel Bender, has been assigned to the Dayton Dragons.  Last season Bender, 20, was 4-3 with a 3.40 ERA in eight starts for the Reds Arizona League Rookie team.

Former Centerville High School hurler and University of Cincinnati righthanded, Dan Jensen, is assigned to Bakersfield under Ken Griffey Sr.  Jensen began the summer season at Billings where he turned in a 1-2 record with a 6.39 ERA.  He finished at Bakersfield where he appeared in one game, pitching six innings of one-run baseball.

The Reds top draft choice of 2011, Robert Stephenson is assigned to Dayton.
