Jose Arredondo to the DL, Jeremy Horst Recalled

Jose Arredondo is in his first year back from elbow surgery.  The righthander has tightness in his right forearm, similar to what Johnny Cueto experienced in spring training.

"He's been kind of available/unavailable for a while. He wasn's available in Milwaukee. When a guy's had Tommy John, you want to be careful, even though it's not in the same area. He just didn't feel 100 percent. Even though he says he's fine today, we can't afford to be short tomorrow or the next day if he doesn't feel right. We need him available on an everyday basis," Dusty Baker said.

The move is retroactive to his last appearance on July 7.  Arredondo is 1-3 with a 3.04 ERA in 24 games.

Horst is now in his second tour with the Reds.  He appeared in five games with no record and a 3.24 ERA over 8 1/3 innings.
