Elly De La Cruz played seven innings Sunday afternoon for the Louisville Bats at Gwinnett.

He grounded out and struck out twice before he was removed for a pinch hitter  He committed a throwing error in the first inning but later was the pivot on a double play with Dominic Pitelli.

De La Cruz was 2-for-8 with a walk and four strikeouts in the three-game stint. He did not have to run the bases much, scoring on a home run by Hector Rodriguez and hitting one himself.

The plan is for De La Cruz to get an MRI Monday to make sure his right hamstring is healed. If it is he will be activated on Tuesday to play against the Milwaukee Brewers.
