Reds Closer Leaves Game Injured

 https://gofund.me/b67c71781

Dateline: Cincinnati

Reds closer Emilio Pagan grabbed his hamstring on his first pitch to Nico Hoerner in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday.

The Reds and Cubs were tied 2-2 and Pagan was trying to hold the Cubs to send the game to extra innings.

He grabbed his left hamstring and had to be taken off on a cart.

Pagan continued to pitch after he felt a tight hamstring in the game against the San Francisco Giants on April 14. He made five appearances since then.

Rookie Jose Franco entered the game. He walked two but pitched a scoreless inning to send the game to extra innings.
