Yunior Marte Reassgned To Minor League Camp

The Reds reassigned 31-year old right handed pitcher Yunior Marte to the minor league camp.

Marte has 102 games of Major League experience with a 2-2 record with two saves. He has a 5.64 ERA in 113 1/3 innings with 54 walks and 105 strikeouts. Marte has surrendered 16 home run.

The Reds signed Marte to a minor league contract for the 2026 season on January 22.

This spring, Marte appeared in six games, pitching six innings, allowing five earned runs on nine hits a two walks. He struck out 11.

The move leaves the Reds with 33 players on its 40-man roster with eight non-roster players. The Reds have 22 pitchers left, including Caleb Ferguson, who is out with a strained right oblique and Kyle Nicolas, who is on Team Italy in the World Baseball Classic.

Four pitchers are non-roster invitees left in camp.
