Dan Osterbrock had a rough 3 1/3 inning first start for the New Britain Rock Cats in Portland on Friday night.
Osterbock allowed seven runs on eight hits and a walk, and two hit batsmen. The Rock Cats came back and won the game so, he wasn't saddled with the loss.
The first five runs scored with two outs. Jorge Padron hit a grand slam with two outs in the first inning. The Sea Dogs scored on a two-out single in the second. Ostebrock allowed a one-out double in the third but got out of the inning. In the fourth, Osterbrock gave up a leadoff double. He got the next batter on a ground out to third but a single put runners on first and third with one out. The last two runs off Osterbrock scored after he left the game.
If the schedule is not disrupted, Osterbrock will pitch at Binghampton on May 11.
