The Tale Of Two Tylers

Tyler Naquin was scheduled to run the bases for the first time to test his strained left quad.

"As soon as he finishes his base running step and feels good we will take the next step," David Bell.  "The medical staff will help him through it."

Tyler Stephenson had the cast taken off his right thumb an indication that the broken thumb is healing properly.   He has been on the injured list since June 10.  The prognosis was that he would be out of action 4-6 weeks from the time of the injury.  It will be two weeks tomorrow.

Donovan Solano is making his first start and appearance as a Red.  He is the 50th player to participate in a game for the Reds this season.   His strained left hamstring prevented him from participating in Cactus League games.

Solano will play third base and bat sixth.
