Jonathan India Starts Rehab Tuesday Vladimir Gutierrez Won't Throw For Two Weeks

Jonathan India had an MRi on Monday and has been cleared to start a rehab assignment in Louisville on Tuesday.  The reigning National League Rookie of the Year has been out since May 1  with a strained hamstring.  The MRI was to make sure it was fully healed before sending him back into full action.

"He will need to play from five to seven games," David Bell said.  "He has been running the bases, fielding ground balls and hitting.  He had spring training and part of the season.  He just needs to get his timing."

India has responded well to full speed activities in a controlled environment.

Donovan Solano is also ready to start a rehab assignment.  Solano will need more time to get ready.  He missed all of spring training with a strained left hamstring.  Max Schrock out all year with a strained left calf is already on rehab with Louisville.  He is playing in left field.

Vladiamir Gutierrez had an MRI too.  He has a strained UCL in his right forearm.  "He will not throw for two weeks," Bell said.  "There will be another couple weeks for him to build back up."
