Cody Reed Starts For Louisville On Tuesday, Zack Cozart Still Out

Cody Reed will start Tuesday night for the Louisville Bats.

Reds' manager Bryan Price will rely on reports from roving pitching coach Jeff Fassero rather than Reed's pitching line.

"We want to see the shape of his pitches," Bryan Price said.  "We want to see his pitches change planes.  Jeff was knows what his pitches looked like when he was dominating at Double A."

Zach Cozart is still out with pain in his achilles tendon..

"We want to see him get on the field first," Bryan Price said.  "He has been inside, getting around the clock treatment."

Jose Peraza, who has hit in every game since being recalled, will remain with the team as long as the Reds' can find him playing time.  Louisville's season will end in exactly 14 days.

The Reds are looking at which pitchers to activate or promote.

"It's not like last year when we had pitching limits on a lot of guys," Price said. "The only guy we are close to innings limits is (Brandon) Finnegan."
