He will finish the year at 9-5 with a 3.71 ERA in 145 innings.

Bailey signed a six-year $105 million contract in March.

The Reds are expanding the playing roster to 35 by calling up 10 players, (5 pitchers) to the Major League roster for the final month of the season.

The Reds traded Jonathon Broxton to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday for two players to be named later.

The pitchers being recalled are right-handers, J.J. Hoover, Daniel Corcino and Carlos Contreras and left-handers, David Holmberg and Ryan Dennick.

The position players are catcher Tucker Barnhart, IB/OF Donald Lutz, OF Jason Bourgeois. OF Yorman Rodriguez and IF/OF Jake Elmore.

All of the pitchers with the exception of Ryan Dennick have pitched for the Reds this season.  Dennick was 4-0 with a 2.36 ERA for Louisville, coming to the Reds in the Triple A phase of the Rule V draft in 2012 from Kansas City.   He will make his Major League debut when he gets into the game for the Reds.

Lutz and Barnhart have played with the Reds.  Barnhart made his debut this season.

Bourgeois has been in the Major Leagues with the Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals and Tampa Bay Rays.  He has a .260 average with three home runs and 29 RBI in the big leagues.  Bourgeois signed with the Reds and was invited to spring training but got off to a slow start with an injury.  In Louisville this season Bourgeois hit .278 with four home runs and 42 home runs. He was named the Bats MVP.
