Strength Returning To Joey Votto

Joey Votto took ground balls for the second day in a row.

The Reds concern was strength in his left quad not so much the soreness.

"The soreness isn't as prevalent," Bryan Price said. "He is trying to get the strength back in his leg.  He hasn't had a lot off opportunity to face live batting practice."

There are tests that will determine when the strength in his leg is sufficient to allow the Reds to either activate Votto or send him out for a rehab assignment although Price wasn't sure what they are.

"I'm sure there are certain things he does that validate his strength; maybe a series of exercises or weights," Price said.
