Mike Leake Will Pitch Cactus League Opener

Mike Leake will face David Huff of the Cleveland Indians when the Reds open the exhibition schedule on Saturday.  Homer Bailey will pitch Sunday for the Reds also against Cleveland and Ubaldo Jiminez.  The Reds have not revealed the Monday starter against Cleveland's Justin Masterson.

Those two teams share the Goodyear facility and will play each other in the first three games.

The way the schedule works out and if there are no injuries or change in plans due to performance, Leake will be the fourth starter and Bailey the fifth.  Each pitcher is slated for two innings as long as their pitch count is in line with the limits.

Dusty Baker would not reveal the Monday starter but he has already announced that Johnny Cueto will pitch against the Miami Marlins on opening day.

The Reds have scheduled a two inning intrasquad game for Friday.  Andrew Brackman, Josh Judy, Nick Christiani and LHP Donnie Joseph will pitch one inning each.
