NKU and LaSalles David Middendorf Survived a Rough First Outing for Idaho Falls

David Middendorf
David Middendorf's first inning of work in professional baseball was no fun.

The LaSalle High School and Northern Kentucky University grad was smacked around in his first inning with Kansas City's Pioneer League affiliate.  Middendorf gave up six earned runs (seven total) on six hits in his June 20th debut for the Chukars against Ogden in a 20-0 loss.

The good news is the 666th player taken in the most recent draft has rebounded with two much better outings.

Middendorf threw two scoreless innings on June 23 against Ogden, allowing a walk and a hit.  Three days later against Orem, he fired three scoreless innings and struck out three.  He allowed four hits but did not walk a batter.
