San Diego drove 73 yards in 12 plays but failed from three attempts from the one yard line.
Phillip Rivers completed four passes for 50 yards. A pass interference against the Bengals Jonathan Joseph gave San Diego a first and goal at the one. The Bengals held to force the 20 yard field goal by Nate Kaeding.
