OchoCinco and Owens Who?

The self described dynamic duo Chad Ochocinco and Terrel Owens were out for the second straight game and for the second straight game the Bengals won.

Owens and Ochocinco were both hurt early in Bengals win over Cleveland last week.

Owens tore his left knee and is out for the season.  Ochocinco was listed as inactive with a sprained ankle.

Jerome Simpson, who was drafted by the Bengals in the second round in the 2008 draft, took over and caught a pair of touchdown passes from Carson Palmer as the Bengals upset the San Diego Charger, 34-20.

San Diego trailed the Kansas City Chiefs by one game starting the day but Kansas City hung a 34-14 loss on the Tennessee Titans while the Bengals downed San Diego.  The Chargers at 8-7 will not make the playoffs this season.

It was a nightmare for the Chargers.  The game started with a temperature of 29 degrees.  Nearly 29 years ago the Chargers were eliminated from a Super Bowl run with a 40-17 loss to the Bengals in a game played with the air temperature at -9 with a wind chill of -59 degrees.

Though the temperature was not as cold the Chargers never warmed up enough to seriously challenge in this game.
