The Reds placed Matt McLain on the 10-day injured list retroactive to July 8 with a strained left calf.

Ke’Bryan Hayes was removed from the injured list after four rehab games at Dayton and Louisville. He is recovered from a lower lumbar sprain.

 Hayes hit .142 in 44 games before going to the injured list. He hit .444 with four doubles and a home run during his rehab assignments.

McLain is hitting .190 in 83 games with 13 doubles and eight home runs. He has recently added center field to his second base and shortstop assignments.
