Rhett Lowder To Start Against The Los Angeles Angels And Brent Suter

Rhett Lowder followed Chase Burns in his last Cactus League game. He starts on his own against the Los Angeles Angels on Friday (022726).

The opposing pitcher is Brent Suter, the Moeller High Graduate who pitched for the Reds the last two season.

Lowder pitched two innings on Saturday, the 21st, against the Cleveland Guardians. He pitched two innings, allowing a run on two hits and a walk Lowder struck out four.

Suter signed with the Angels. It is his fourth Major League team. He pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers for seven seasons starting in 2016. He pitched for the Colorado Rockies in 2023 and two season with the Reds with a 2-2 record and 3.67 ERA in 95 games.

Suarez will report to the Venezuelan Team in the World Baseball Classic on Saturday 02/28/26. Edwin Arroyo will leave for Team Puerto Rico.

Minor leaguers Ivan Johnson Great Britain, Alexander Vargas Cuba, David Lorduy Colombia, Ryjeteri Merite Netherlands and Irvin Machuca Mexico will leave as well.

Reds' trainer Thoma Vera, the Reds' head trainer, will work for Venezeula.
