Scott Rolen Gets Caught

Scott Rolen is not supposed to swing a bat yet but yesterday he was caught Red-handed with a bat in the cage along side the clubhouse.

"He's not supposed to swing but he sneaked in there the other day and got caught," Dusty Baker said. "He's doing a lot of cardio vascular.  You have to keep your legs strong.  Especially, playing the infield you're up and down squatting on every pitch.  That's like lifting weights."

Juan Francisco hit and ran on Monday but will probably need a rehab assignment.

"Anyone who has hurt their calf knows you use it for everything.  He is getting it in shape but there is baseball shape.  He has so many parts to his swing.  He needs to get his timing down.  Not only swinging but fielding base running, footwork," Baker said.
