Home Run Hernandez Extends Streak to 10 Games

After "Reds killer" Lance Berkman hit his 11th home run of the season and his 50th career home run against the Reds. Yadier "Boo" Molina followed with a line drive home run of his own.

But Ramon Hernandez hit a blast off Chris Carpenter, his third in two days to extend his hitting streak to 10 games and cut the Cardinals lead in half.

"Monie's" home run prompted the customary fireworks display but the wind conditions are such that the smoke lingered over the field of play.

Carpenter, who always finds something to complain about, had already fumed about the mound conditions, complained about the fumes as well.
