UC Completes Rout of Pittsburgh.

A 12-yard catch and run by Ralph David Abernathy IV and a 46-yard field goal by Tony Miliano, put the wrapping around a 34-3 win over River City Rival, Pittsburgh.

The Bearcats open both the season and Big East play with a win.  Pittsburgh, who lost at home to Youngstown State on Saturday, drops to 0-2.

Cincinnati had too much speed for a Pittsburgh team that has eight new defensive starters.

Munchi Legaux and Abernathy were running past Pitt defenders all night.  George Winn more of a power back ran wild between the tackles.  The Cincinnati offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage.

Cincinnati's defense came up with two takeaways.  George Blair intercepted a pass by Tino Sunseri in the endzone to end one Pitt, first half threat.  Walter Stewart forced a fumble as Sunseri was attempting to pass.

UC sacked Sunseri four times.

Pitt scored with 34 seconds remaining to make the final score 34-10 on a nine-yard pass from Sunseri to tight end Drew Carswell.
