Chris Paddack will make his second start for the Reds in the rain delayed opener of the three-game series. Andre Pallante will start for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Paddack, known as the sheriff, brings an 0-5 record with a 7.07 ERA to the mound. He was released by the Miami Marlins on May 10. The Reds signed him May 13 when Rhett Lowder was placed on the injured list.
